Information:
Argentine Tango is a social and passionate couple dance originating in Buenos
Aires, Argentina, in the late 19th Century. It has grown and
developed since then, with tremendous interest in the
dance beyond South America, being particularly popular in mainland Europe, North America and Japan.
the dance has become a feature of dancing shows on TV, including the
BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
Dancing Argentine Tango is a wonderful way to meet new people and have a great
social evening.
Thomas teaches with Elsa (who also teaches
Salsa).

Thomas started dancing Argentine Tango in Berlin in 1997. He has been teaching
in Dublin 2000-2006 for the Dublin Argentine Tango Society
(DATS).
He teaches with an emphasis on communication within the couple, good leading,
musicality and improvisation. The classes enable the student to go to any
Milonga, to dance with confidence and enjoyment.
The Tango classes in Scopwick have been running from the 7th February 2007.
Comfortable clothing is recommended.
Shoes are important, so dance shoes,
or ones with leather soles, are best. Ideally, the shoes have some toe
protection and an ankle strap (so that walking backwards is
comfortable).
It is better if you can bring a partner, but if not, we change partners during the evening so that everyone gets to dance.
Soft drinks are available.
